アジア学院では給食部門FEAST（Food Education and Sustainable Table）

[職務内容]

　　FEAST（Food Education and Sustainable Table）・給食部門

食べ物を生産し、収穫物をともに食卓で分かち合うというアジア学院研修プログラムの根幹にかかわる仕事です。15カ国前後の国々からやってくる学生、ボランティア、職員合わせて約60名（夏の時期には訪問者を加え100名を超すこともあります）の1日3度の食事の調理を監督します。教務に関わり学生のコンサルテーションや授業を受け持つこともあります。

 [資格･経験・条件]

• アジア学院の使命に賛同する方
• 年齢25歳～45歳で、長期に働ける方優先
• パソコンの基本的な操作（Word, Excel, メール等）ができる方
• 異文化や様々な宗教を理解する姿勢がある方。キリスト者、もしくは求道者、キリスト教に理解がある者が望ましい。
• 英語での業務執行能力がある（学院では英語が共通語）
• 普通自動車免許がある方とよい
• 栄養士、調理師等の資格があるとよい
• 共同生活や人々との協働経験があるとよい

（普段の作業は異文化の職員・ボランティアで構成されたチームで行われ、チームを率いる役割を担う）

[待遇]

• 給与については、公立高校の教員に適用される俸給表を参考にしたアジア学院独自の給与表によります。
• 福利厚生：私立学校共済の健康保険、厚生年金に加入
• 手当：家族手当、住宅手当、通勤手当有り

1. What is FEAST section coordinator?
2. Organizing section members: delegating work, care for the members emotional, health, spiritual, relationship with each other, create comfortable atmosphere and environment.
3. Food: Food is the center of the training program. Managing food ingredients most importantly ARI produces – and to do this, coordinator needs to build a healthy relationship with all production section leaders to feed community members throughout the training program.
4. Management of section money and food ingredients: See that the money is efficiently used and submitted at the end of the month and we need to control the consumption amount so that we have sufficient food amount in the kitchen always. And to do this, Coordinator needs to know how to assess the vegetable situations in the fields to be able to harvest appropriate amount each time.
5. Management of food in the events (both expected and unexpected ones).
6. Care about community members health using ARI produces (nutrition).
7. Class Lectures: Nutrition classes and Home Economic Management class. (If the person is qualified)

2. What is the joy in work in FEAST section?

The joy of FEAST section is being able to create a good environment in the community through sharing of food in Koinonia. ARI is a very high diverse place and YES there are times when we cannot understand each other’s food cultures since food is directly related to our emotion and in many ways sensitive. But in many ways, from the kitchen peace building starts in a place like ARI. Everybody is busy working in different places but when eating time comes people gather together -regardless of classes or religious backgrounds and tiredness from work, people sit side by side with one another chatting, laughing, sharing… scooping out food from the same bowls …it’s a joy to see them! FEAST plays a core role in the entire training program and even when sometimes we are overwhelmed with workload still the greatest joy of FEAST section is putting food on the table for the joy of everybody!
