To be eligible for full membership, an organization must:
- ・Engage in International Cooperation Actively address global challenges through field operations, policy advocacy, or development education; or serve as a network organization promoting collaboration in these areas.
- ・Be a Citizen-led, Non-profit Organization Established by citizens to serve the public interest, with its headquarters or primary operational base located in Japan.
- ・Maintain Democratic Governance Operate with a democratic decision-making structure and be governed by formal bylaws or equivalent articles of incorporation.
- ・Ensure Transparency Publicly disclose the list of officers, annual activity reports, and financial statements.
- ・Demonstrate a Track Record Have at least two years of operational history, encompassing two full fiscal periods.
- ・Possess Administrative Capacity Maintain a functional office or secretariat to ensure reliable communication and operations.
- ・Commit to JANIC’s Principles Respect and uphold the spirit of the JANIC Charter.
