Video recording available - Asia Regional People’s Assembly 2025

Dear Colleagues,
We will organise the Virtual Asia Regional People’s Assembly 2025 from October 28 from 2 – 4 pm Bangkok time (Your country time here) as part of our Economic Justice Mobilisation.
This is part of the series of People’s Assemblies we have been organising in a bottom up process from national to regional to global.
The Assembly will bring forth the voices of the communities and discuss issues and challenges that Asian countries are facing e.g., insurmountable debt, rising hunger, loss of livelihoods, impacts of climate change and how critical gaps in healthcare and social protection accompanied by the aid cut are further pushing excluded communities to the margins.
The assembly will come up with a set of recommendations in the form of the Asia Regional People’s Declaration. The messages emerging from the Assembly will be taken to the second World Summit for Social Development (WSSD2) happening in Doha from November 4 – 6, 2025 and other international processes like the Asia Pacific Social Forum, International Civil Society Week and the Asia Democracy Assembly taking place in early November in Bangkok.
You are requested to actively participate in the Assembly and share your thoughts.
