Introduction

Global Summit (GS) Watch is a global network of individuals and organisations committed to monitoring and advocating for global justice and accountability at global summits such as the Summit of the South, G7, BRICS, G20 and the UN Summit. It has replaced the PEOPLES’ 20, which was formed in March 2023 among independent civil society organisations to engage with the 2023 G20 Summit in India.

GS Watch aims to support and facilitate communication and collaboration among CSOs and stakeholders engaged in the global summits to increase the synergy and impact of their advocacy.

The main activities of GS Watch are consultation and update (webinar and forum), information and knowledge sharing (Info Pack, compilation and newsletter), analysis (briefing paper) and capacity building training programme.

The governance of GS Watch consists of Co-Conveners and International Advisors and the Secretariat.

The LDC Watch in Nepal will function as the secretariat for 2025.
