Along with fellow civil society colleagues, JANIC will attend virtually the 9th East and North-East Asia\u00a0Multi-Stakeholder Forum on the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals<\/strong><\/a> (hereafter referred to as the Forum), to be held on 22-23 October 2025, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.<\/p>\n

The Forum serves as a platform for dialogue and collaboration among government, the private sector, civil society organizations, experts, and other stakeholders. It provides a unique opportunity to exchange information on subregional implementation efforts, highlight subregional priorities, and showcase best practices.<\/p>\n

The Forum is an important consultation ensuring that voices from East and North-East Asia\u00a0are conveyed to the\u00a013<\/strong>th<\/strong>\u00a0Asia Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(APFSD), which will be organized from 24-27 February 2026 under the theme: \u201cTransformative, equitable, innovative and coordinated actions for the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals for a sustainable future for all in Asia and the Pacific\u201d.<\/p>\n

The APFSD convenes member States, development partners, civil society, and other stakeholders whose reflections feed into and inform the 2025\u00a0High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(HLPF) in New York, which reviews sustainable development progress at the global level under the same theme.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Forum will assess progress and provide recommendations on the following SDGs under review at the 13th\u00a0APFSD and 2026 HLPF:<\/p>\n

Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation<\/p>\n

Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy<\/p>\n

Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure<\/p>\n

Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities<\/p>\n

Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals<\/p>\n\n\n\n
