Promote partnership among NGOs<\/span><\/h3>\r\n

\u30fbCoordinate meetings and cooperation among NGOs.
\r\n \u30fbCooperate with regional and thematic network NGOs in Japan.
\r\n \u30fbCooperate with international NGOs, such as FORUS, ADA, ADN, CIVICUS Bond and InterAction.<\/p>\r\n

Research and Advocacy<\/span><\/h3>\r\n

\u30fbServe as the focal point and secretariat for formal meetings between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MoFA) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
\r\n \u30fbResearch and advocate on global issues, such as promotion of SDGs, especially Goal 16 (Peace, justice and strong institutions) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the goals), Enabling Environment of CSOs and Disaster Risk Reduction.
\r\n \u30fbCoordinate Japanese NGOs for global arena such as UN General Assembly, G7 and G20 Summits.<\/p>\r\n

Strengthen Capacity and Social Responsibility of NGOs<\/span><\/h3>\r\n

\u30fbProvide capacity building opportunities for NGO staff by offering training programs.
\r\n \u30fbTo activate NGOs activities
\r\n \u00a0Promote the group activities which plural number of NGO gather spontaneously and shared information\u00a0 and study to remove the problem factors that NGOs feel important issue. \u21d2JANIC working group system
\r\n \u00a0Build the\u00a0 shared workspace and establish the \u201cIncubation center\u201d in JANIC office.
\r\n \u30fbImproved reliability of NGOs
\r\n \u00a0Cooperate with \u201fQuality and Accountability Network Japan(JQAN)\u201d to disseminate World Standard.
\r\n \u00a0Cooperate with \u201fJapan NGO Initiative for Safety and Security(JaNISS)\u201d to improve the capacity of security management and make advocacy activities.<\/p>\r\n

Promote Support and Citizen Participation<\/span><\/h3>\r\n

\u30fbOrganize \u201cGlobal Festa JAPAN\u201d, the largest annual event on international cooperation held in Tokyo, together with MoFA and JICA.
\r\n \u30fbHave booths in various events related to international cooperation.
\r\n \u30fbHold lectures on international cooperation and NGOs.
\r\n \u30fbPublish \u201cSynergy\u201d, an online magazine related to latest NGO activities and recent trends.
\r\n \u30fbUpdate \u201cNGO Directory\u201d (a web service that provide various information on NGOs).<\/p>\r\n

Encourage dialogues between NGOs and other sectors<\/span><\/h3>\r\n

\u30fbJANIC collaborates with other social institutions which are concerned with international assistance (or international common causes).
\r\n \u30fbIt includes international centers (or sections) of local governments, enterprises, and labor unions.
\r\n \u30fbJANIC provides them with necessary information and advice concerning international voluntary activities at the grassroots level.
\r\n \u30fbJANIC has served as the secretariat for both the NGOs-Labor Unions International Collaboration Forum since 2004 and the Partnership Promotion Network between NGOs & Business since 2008.<\/p>\r\n<\/section>\r\n<\/main>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
