Activities in Fukushima

Following the Great East Japan Earthquake, our disaster response and relief activities in Tohoku were initially coordinated through our regional offices in Miyagi, Iwate, and Fukushima. On July 8th, 2011, in addition, we established JANIC Fukushima Office, which was in operation until March 2014, focused on the goals of connecting supporters from both inside and outside Fukushima. The activities of JANIC Fukushima Office have since been passed on to the local non-profit organization, Fukushima Beacon for Global Citizens Network (FUKUDEN).
